A social media platform connecting people through augmented reality
With location-specific content integrated into the physical world.
ABOUT
This project is a case study developing a social media platform that fosters meaningful connectivity through Augmented Reality (AR) technology.
At the time of this study, the technology needed to support this concept is flirting with the line of what is currently possible, and what will soon be possible with AR. Although currently, our smartphones may not have the ability to support this level of AR use, this product is developed imagining that AR creations can be placed and positioned in specific locations with accuracy, and well-integrated into the physical environment.
THE PROBLEM
Primary social media platforms do not leverage the power of augmented reality to create location-specific media, and their limitless content overstimulates users leading to a loss of autonomy.
THE PROCESS
How did I go from idea to IOS prototype? I followed a process. I referenced the Double Diamond model to guide me through steps in developing the product. For me, the process included asking questions, finding consistency, sketching, discovering, backtracking sometimes, adjusting my course, laughing, and mulling over a single problem over and over.

To begin, I recommend visiting the Competitive Audit. Take a path through the Research, and meet The User, then dive into the Architecture, Wireframing, and Visual System.
